unartsmart

The National University of Arts in Bucharest is the beneficiary of the UNART SMART project – e-PNRR code 1577799892, approved by Order of the Ministry of Education no. 4,168/30.06.2022, with a total value of RON 8,793,905.07, to be implemented during the period October 2022–December 2025.

The project is funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), under Component C15: Education, Reform 5: Adoption of the legislative framework for the digitalization of education, Investment Measure 16: Digitalization of universities and their preparation for the digital professions of the future.

Digital technologies are powerful drivers for the transition towards a green economy, including the shift to a circular economy and the decarbonization of energy, transport, construction, agriculture, and other industries and sectors. At the same time, it is essential to reduce the climate and environmental footprint of digital products and to facilitate the transition towards sustainable behaviors, both in the development and in the use of digital technologies. The education and training system increasingly relies on digital technologies, capitalizing on their benefits and opportunities. Digital transformation in education is supported by advances in connectivity, the widespread use of digital devices and applications, and the need to adapt to the continuously growing demand for digital skills.
