The Senate of the National University of Arts in Bucharest (UNArte) is the highest governing authority of the University, functioning as a deliberative and decision-making body that ensures the representation of the entire academic community. The Senate is constituted and operates in accordance with national higher education legislation, the University Charter, and its own Rules of Organization and Functioning.

Board of Administration

The Board of Administration of the National University of Arts in Bucharest is the executive body responsible for implementing the University’s development strategy and for managing its resources. Composed of experienced academic staff, the Board coordinates academic, financial, and administrative activities, with the primary objective of ensuring an educational environment of excellence and promoting artistic values. Its responsibilities include the development and monitoring of institutional policies, the management of human and material resources, and the support of initiatives that contribute to increasing the University’s visibility and relevance at both national and international levels. Through its decisions, the Board of Administration supports the creative and academic development of the university community.


Ethics Committee

The Ethics Committee of the National University of Arts in Bucharest is committed to supporting the University’s efforts to strengthen a culture of ethics and academic integrity. The Committee carries out its activities on the basis of appointment by decision of the Rector of the National University of Arts in Bucharest, validated by the Board of Administration and the UNArte Senate. It operates in accordance with Law no. 1/2011 and the University’s internal regulatory documents (the Charter and the Code of Ethics). Any individual, whether affiliated with the University or external to it, may submit a complaint to the Ethics Committee regarding misconduct committed by members of the academic community. Complaints must be submitted to the University Registry, addressed to the Ethics Committee, at 19 General Constantin Budișteanu Street, Sector 1, Bucharest, Romania.

University Charter

The Charter of the National University of Arts in Bucharest is the fundamental document governing the structure, organization, and functioning of the institution. Adopted in accordance with current legislation, the Charter establishes the principles and values that guide academic and administrative activity, promoting excellence, creativity, and academic freedom. The document defines the University’s mission, the rights and responsibilities of members of the academic community, and the relationships among the various institutional structures. The Charter provides an essential framework for ensuring the quality of education, research, and artistic activities, while consolidating UNArte’s institutional identity and academic tradition.
