Announcement
The National University of Arts in Bucharest (UNArte) announces the successful completion of the evaluation process for the project “Expansion of UNArte Infrastructure for Inclusive Education, Digital Integration, and International Cooperation in the Creative Industries – UNIC UNArte”, submitted under the Bucharest–Ilfov Regional Program, Priority 6 – A Region with Modern Educational Infrastructure, financed through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The project, SMIS code 337333, received a final score of 80.82 points and was declared approved, proceeding to the contracting stage following the ranking of projects selected for funding and the approved decision on over-contracting.
The investment targets the modernization and expansion of the educational infrastructure located at 19 G-ral Constantin Budișteanu St., with the objective of supporting the development of an inclusive educational environment, adapted to digital challenges and open to international cooperation. The project aligns with the specific objective of the project call PR BI P6/6.4/1/2024, namely improving equal access to quality and inclusive educational services, including by promoting resilience in distance and online education.
This initiative strengthens UNArte’s position as a leading institution in art education in Romania and marks a new step in the sustainable development of the infrastructure required for training professionals in the creative industries.

General Objective
The expansion of the infrastructure of the National University of Arts (UNArte) in order to ensure equal and high-quality access to education, while also supporting digital integration and the development of institutional capacities through the initiation of and participation in transnational and interregional partnerships and exchanges of experience.
Specific Objectives

Creating optimal learning conditions for UNArte students in accordance with European regulations and ARACIS standards, through the expansion and reconfiguration of learning spaces.

Improving the quality of teaching and students’ competencies by equipping the newly constructed buildings with multifunctional classrooms and by implementing advanced digital solutions, including for distance and online learning.

Developing institutional capacity through the initiation of and participation in interregional, cross-border, and transnational partnerships and exchanges of best practices.
Expected Results
- Creation of modern educational spaces aligned with European standards: specialized workshops (photo–video, painting), multifunctional spaces, and exhibition areas.
- Ensuring equitable access to education through accessibility measures for students with special needs.
- Equipping spaces with digital equipment and technologies for synchronous and asynchronous teaching and learning.
- Strengthening institutional capacity through study visits and international partnerships.
Transferability and Impact
- A model of best practices for other art universities in Romania and the EU.
- Extension of benefits to students from art high schools and pre-university institutions.
- International collaborations with universities in France, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Poland, and Spain.
- Improvement of pre-university education, facilitating the transition to higher education in the arts.
