Mission

UNArte is a university centered on artistic and scientific education and research. In keeping with this vision, the University assumes, with full responsibility, the mission of generating and transferring knowledge to society and, at the same time, it:

• supports modern university and postgraduate education in accordance with national and international standards;
• provides postgraduate training for specialists in the field through dedicated programs, including postgraduate courses, specialization courses, and advanced training internships;
• shapes, develops, preserves, and disseminates the values of Romanian and universal art, spirituality, culture, and civilization;
• promotes freedom of expression, critical thinking, and the renewal of knowledge and means of artistic expression;
• processes and transmits artistic and scientific knowledge by organizing students’ education and research activities in the fields of art and art history;
• aligns its educational and artistic research activities with international standards;
• educates artists and researchers capable of responding to the demands of contemporary art, science, and society;
• promotes initiatives focused on developing the capacities of high-achieving students and ensures the right to education through scholarships, financial support, and awards;
• affirms the identity of national artistic culture;
• actively participates in the construction of European unity;
• selects and guides graduates toward fields of professional practice, research, and academic careers, with a view to ensuring their professional integration;
• supports the scientific performance of members of the University at national and international scholarly events;
• safeguards and promotes the fundamental rights and freedoms of members of the academic community.
